In Honor of Private First Class Eric W Hario



LANSING - Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today ordered United States flags throughout the state of Michigan and on Michigan waters lowered for one day Wednesday, September 9, 2009, in honor of Private First Class Eric W. Hario of Monroe who died August 29 in Paktika Province, Afghanistan, while on active duty supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. Flags should be returned to full-staff Thursday, September 10.

Pfc. Hario, age 19, died from injuries sustained from small arms fire on August 28 while conducting combat operations. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia.
